Bluetooth

Problem	Try
The PC doesn’t see the phone	Tap Connect a PC so the phone is visible, then add the device on the PC within the time shown.
Can’t reach the PC	Wake the PC, keep it within a few metres, and check Bluetooth is on on the PC. PcPad keeps trying while it’s open.
Forgot this phone	The PC removed the phone. Tap Pair again.
Bluetooth keyboard mode is off	The phone’s maker turned it off, or Bluetooth needs a restart. Turn Bluetooth off and on, then tap Try again.
The touchpad feels slow or laggy	If it lags only while viewing the PC screen or sending files, put the phone on 5 GHz Wi-Fi: Bluetooth shares the radio with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Raise Speed in the touchpad settings for a faster pointer.
It keeps disconnecting	Let PcPad run unrestricted (Battery in Settings) and keep the PC awake.
Keys type the wrong characters	Set Layout in Settings to match the PC’s keyboard layout.
A paste types slowly, or keeps typing	Over Bluetooth, text is typed key by key: tap Stop above the field to end it. Connect Wi-Fi to PcPad for Windows and pastes arrive at once.
Couldn’t connect	Remove the phone in Windows’ Bluetooth settings and pair again.

Wi-Fi

When Wi-Fi can’t connect, PcPad says why and offers the fix:

Problem	Try
This phone isn’t on Wi-Fi	It’s on mobile data. Tap Open Wi-Fi settings and join the PC’s network.
Can’t find the PC	Open PcPad on the PC (it runs in the tray). Put both on the same Wi-Fi; guest networks often block this. Then Search again.
Windows is blocking PcPad	On the PC, open Windows Security › Firewall › Allow an app and tick Private next to PcPad.
No longer knows this phone	It was removed in PcPad for Windows. Tap Scan code and scan the code on Pair a phone.
This code has expired	Codes last 2 minutes. Scan the new one on the PC.
The code won’t scan	Tap Use a code instead and compare a 6-digit code on both screens.
Update PcPad	The two apps run different versions. Install the latest from the releases page.

PC screen

Problem	Try
Stuck on Waiting for the PC	Someone has to click Allow in PcPad on the PC within a minute.
Already sharing its screen	Another phone is watching. Stop that share on the PC first.
View only	Connect Bluetooth to use the pointer and keyboard.
Taps land in the wrong place	Make sure the pointer is on the main display, then tap again.
