Install on Windows
Install PcPad for Windows and connect it to your phone over Wi-Fi.
PcPad for Windows is only needed for Send files, View PC screen and Reload. The keyboard and touchpad work without it.
Install
- Download PcPad for Windows from the download section: the installer, or the portable version that runs without installing.
- Run it. If Windows SmartScreen warns about an unrecognised app, choose More info → Run anyway.
- Installing for all users adds a firewall rule so the phone can reach PcPad on private networks. Otherwise, if Windows asks about the firewall, allow PcPad on private networks.
PcPad starts in the tray and waits for your phone. It starts with Windows, and closing its window keeps it running in the tray; both can be changed in its Settings.
Connect the phone
- Make sure the phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the PC.
- In PcPad on the PC, open Pair a phone. It shows a QR code, renewed every 2 minutes.
- On the phone, tap Connect next to Wi-Fi on Home (or Send files), then Scan code, and point the camera at the code.
That’s it: the phone is paired and connects. No camera, or it won’t scan? On the phone, tap Find on this Wi-Fi instead and pick your PC. Both screens show a 6-digit code; if they match, confirm on the phone, then click Codes match — pair on the PC.
From then on, the phone connects by itself whenever both are on the same network and PcPad is open on the phone.
On the PC
- Home shows the paired phone and whether it’s connected.
- Pair a phone shows the QR code the phone scans to pair.
- Screen sharing shows who can see the screen, with Stop.
- Files lists what the phone sent.
- Settings: the folder for received files, start with Windows, close to tray, and the paired phones, with Forget.
