Touchpad
Gestures, buttons, shortcuts and pointer settings.
Open Touchpad on Home. It works like a laptop touchpad.
Gestures
| Gesture | Does |
|---|---|
| Move one finger | Moves the pointer. Slow movements are precise; quick swipes go further, like a laptop touchpad. |
| Tap | Left click |
| Double-tap | Double click |
| Tap, then touch and hold | Drag; lift to drop |
| Two fingers up or down | Scroll |
| Two-finger tap | Right click |
| Three-finger tap | Middle click |
The strip on the right edge scrolls too, for one-handed use.
Buttons
Left and Right under the pad stay pressed while you hold them, so you can hold Left and move with another finger to drag, like a mouse.
Shortcuts
The round button on the Touchpad and Keyboard screens opens your shortcuts: a half circle of them, from the edge of the screen. Tap one to press it on the PC; drag along the circle to turn it and reach the rest.
- Your own: tap + Add at the end of the circle, give it a name and tap its keys on the small PC keyboard (for example Ctrl Shift T), or start from an idea like Close tab or Lock PC. The ⚡ button tries it on the PC first.
- Change, remove, reorder: hold any shortcut. Tap one to change it, tap − to remove it, or drag it to a new place. Reset brings back the original ones.
- Move the button by dragging it anywhere; it stays there. Turn it off for either screen in Settings → Shortcut button.
Everyone starts with Copy, Paste, Undo, Switch app (Alt+Tab), Desktop (Win+D), Start, Task view and Escape. Letter shortcuts follow the PC’s keyboard Layout in Settings, so Ctrl+Z is Undo on AZERTY too.
Pointer settings
Tap the speed pill at the top to adjust:
- Speed of the pointer, and Scroll speed.
- Natural scrolling: content follows your fingers, like on the phone.
- Modifier rail: Ctrl, Shift, Alt and Win keys on the left or right edge, to hold while you click.
